Lollipop Lollipop oh oh oh Lollipop

This tip is going to be quick and very easy...I was thinking about new ways to garnish cocktails...

When I have coffee during the winter I use chocolate sticks that melt into the coffee to give it a wonderfully sweet flavor... So I was thinking instead of chocolate sticks in coffee what could I use that would give my cocktails the same kind kick..then it occurred to me!

Tip #10: Lollipop Lollipop Oh Oh Oh Lollipop
Tip 10 is so easy and fun to do...Make a drink like a Vodka Tonic and grab a lime lollipop and place it in the drink..not only will it dissolve and make your drink sweet, but the stick also serves as a stirrer.

If you don't like Vodka Tonics try a different drink and use a different flavored lollipop. This is where you can be as creative as you want! The next time you have a dinner party or a girls night make a few different drinks and experiment  with the various flavors! Just remember to drink responsibly!

Don't cry over spilled wax?

Hey everyone, so I had a candle wax accident last night...I was trying to finish up a candle I had been using for several months and heard a loud cracking noise in my bedroom...When I walked in, I saw candle wax all over my night stand. I was annoyed, but remembered a trick one of my old roommates told me about.
Tip #9: Don't Cry Over Spilled Wax
The trick is quite simple...Grab a blow dryer, set it on medium and heat up the caked on wax until it gets hot and starts to melt.

Once this happens wipe away the mess as it's good as new!
I hope this little tip helps..there really is no use in crying over spilled wax, especially when it's so easy to clean up!

Travel Light Just Right!!

As my blog begins to grow you will see me talk about the economy..With airlines charging outrageous fees for extra bags and weight I thought the tip of the day would be a helpful travel tip...I know I don't have money to blow on luggage fees...
Tip #8 Travel Light
When traveling there is no need to pack everything but the bathroom sink...With rules and regulations on what products you are allowed to pack on carry on's and checkin bags there is no need to bring a huge amount of stuff. Toiletries can serve double purpose...I have frizzy hair so I use a product called Biosilk to smooth out my hair after I have styled it..This product can also be used as a body oil/lotion..Not only does it smell great, but it helps with dry skin...
The other product is hair conditioner. It's great to use on hair, but can double as shaving cream..

Just rub the conditioner into your skin until it starts to foam and then shave.. It's as easy as that.
This tip should save you money and space..So the next time you are packing leave the extra products at home and just take the essentials.Traveling light is just right!

Good Morning Everyone, I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday! Today's tip is one that is so easy to use and once you start using it, you really will never go back to doing things the same way again!!
Tip #7 is one of my personal favorites! EBAY IT...
Almost everything I buy now I buy on Ebay! It is the easiest way to shop, being that you can do it from the comforts of your home, and you can get almost anything on there. The sky's the limit really. I've purchased everything from home decor, clothes, shoes and handbags. If you can think it, you can find it on ebay. All you have to do is create a free ebay and paypal account and then start shopping. You can either bid on the the item or look for it in the buy now section and then complete the purchase option. It really is the greatest way to shop ever. With Christmas coming up try out this handy tip. You can thank me later for the money you saved!!

Remote Control

Good Afternoon Everyone! I am so excited about today's tip...Not only is it really awesome, but it could save you money and grief  with your significant other.
My friend Darcee gave me a list of safety tips her husband was given at work.
Tip #6 is called Remote Control...
If you have a car with remote keyless entry and, this trick may come in handy if you ever lock your keys in your car. If this happens call the person who either had the spare remote or can get to it on their cell phone. Stand about a foot away from your car and have the person on the other end of the line press the unlock button on the car remote near their phone. This should unlock the doors to your car. Distance is no object....You could be hundreds of miles away and still be able to do this. I tried this method and it does work.

I hope this never happens to anybody, but in the event that it does try this tip out. This could save you money and the headache of your spouse ranting and raving....

Good Hair Day

Happy Friday...or at least what's left of it! Today is the first day of fall, which happens to be my favorite time of the year..the only downside is that my hair always gets extra frizzy during this time. I tried out a trick the other day that works wonders...

Tip #5 : Good Hair Day
To keep your locks looking lovely and frizz free mix a little Pantene Conditoner and water together and apply to the ends of your hair. Do not wash out. In the morning your hair should be nice and smooth.

You don't have to wash it out, just style and go! I hope this tip helps the next time you feel like your hair needs a little taming!

iTriage

I want to thank everyone for the kind words last night and today. If you didn't read it on Facebook I visited the emergency room last night due to a pesky "little" kidney stone.

Tip #4 is one that I had to learn last night after waiting at one hospital for over two hours in excruciating amounts of pain.
Tip 4: iTriage

iTriage is just one of the many apps that hospitals, and medical groups are putting out to help combat the wait times in emergency rooms. I was not aware that such a tool existed until I waited for over two hours at one ER last night. It wasn't until I became so frustrated that I chose to leave and checked online for a different hospital and found out that you can check the wait time on various hospitals in the area. Luckily I found one that had an average wait time of 11 minutes. I was literally back in a room in less than that. I was greeted by a doctor who assessed my pain and had me back in a room before I could ask how long this would take. Now I know what you are going to say...you can't predict emergencies, but you can bookmark these particular sites on your computer and have them ready to use in the event you need to visit the ER.
I feel this is one of the most important tips I can give and could very well mean the difference between life and death.

Pretty Polish!!!

Good Morning World! Before I reveal my Tip of the day I want to wish my good friend and amazing photographer Miss Shannon Skloss a very Happy Birthday! I hope you have a great time in LA this weekend!!

Tip #3 is one that I discovered accidentally a few months ago when I bought a few new colors of nail polish and noticed they were looking a little odd. I noticed the colors were dull, so I shook them and ran across an article about polish preservation. HMMM interesting....Go on...

Tip 3 is Fridge Polish
If you remove certain components of heat from the surroundings where you store your nail polishes, chances are it will last quite a bit longer. To preserve your polishes take them and store them somewhere in your fridge. I keep mine in a small basket that fits perfectly in the butter compartment in the door. Make sure they have their caps sealed on tight so no fumes seep in to your food or drink.Whenever you're ready for a mani or pedi you can simply retrieve them from the fridge for quick and easy use.
I hope this tip helps better preserve the beautiful colors you love to show off!

Mise en place!!

Good afternoon, I'm hoping everyone is having a Terrific Tuesday. My tip for today is going to be short and sweet. I was talking to my good friend Chef Callie Salls of Linguine and Dirty Martinis about cooking, and she gave me a great tip to post.

Tip #2: Mise en place ~ pronounced (Miz ã plas)
It's literal translation is put in place.

The Culinary Institute of America defines this french term as "everything in place". When you are baking or cooking, have your ingredients prepped and ready rather than trying to prep everything as you go. This makes it easier to keep an eye on what you are cooking, and makes clean up a breeze.
Try this tip the next time you are cooking or baking, it works wonders and makes the dreaded clean up a snap!

Simple & Easy Monday

Happy Monday to everyone! I am excited to feature my tip of the day on here! I will post tips for every kind of service you may need...with that being said Here We Go!!!

I found a really great quote from Margo Kaufman from 1800-AM-I-NUTS
"One person's mess is merely another person's filing system."
And right you are Ms. Kaufman

Today's Tip is one of my favorites...I found an article a few weeks ago on how to jumpstart organizing in the home. They suggested creating a planner.
Tip #1: Simple & Easy Household Notebook/Planner

This is such an easy item to make and it comes in handy when you are going out of town, grocery shopping, etc... This easy to make notebook/planner is simply a three ring binder and dividers. At this point you can create all sorts of categories. You can put items like calendars, schedules, and forms in this binder. Be creative! This is your book, make it geared towards you and your family.  Here are a few of the categories I chose as an example, Chores, Menu/Shopping List, Important Contacts, Inventory, Family Health, Vacation.
Whether it's a doctor's reminder, takeout menu, or notes, you can make this the notebook you refer to everyday. I made a few for clients I was helping organize and they have said they absolutely love it. Try it and see what you think. Another great thing is you can put notebook paper in it and use it for quick notes or thoughts. Make your day, month, and even year easier with this great tip!
